If You Have Been Harassed In The Workplace Use A Compnesation Lawyer For Justice

David’s Story
“ I had reached a supervisory job at the company I had been working at for 5 years. But then came the new manager with whom I did not see eye to eye. When I try to give my opinion or say how we could improve, he shouted me down and made me look stupid. Now I am receiving similar treatment from other colleagues who I should be supervising. His bullying tactics started to be used by others.”

This story is common among those bullying charities hear all the time. And he should have used a compensation lawyer to file a claim of workplace bullying and gain some monetary justice for being forced out of work. It is estimated that bullying contributes highly to poor employee retention levels, resignation and organisational problems after research was carried out by the Workplace bullying Institute. Bullying in the workplace had been witnessed by one in three of the human resources officials interviewed.

Bullying can be in the form of intense criticism, sarcasm and teasing directed at one person by another employee. Harassment in the workplace ranges from antagonism and up to extreme acts that could even lead to physical injuries. The target is subjected to character assassination, aggressive behaviour, verbal abuse, and the cold-shoulder treatment. Some are deliberately singled out to do unpleasant or hard tasks. Colleagues may even try to sabotage the victims’ work.

Bullying can make the victims ill due to stress, anxiety and the side effects of this. Taking a high number of days off work is a sign of bullying. There are more serious health issues caused by bullying including depression and sleeping disorders such as insomnia. The personal life of a victim may also suffer and marriages have been known to fall apart because of the harassment. The actions of one bully can make the workplace a horrible environment for everyone who has to do their job in it. About 80% of bullies are bosses. They can also be some people in supervising and managerial roles who will bully those under them.

There needs to be clear and strict policies in every employees contract to prevent bullying. Employers should make sure that no one worker is given to much work to do and there should be programmes to lower stress in the workplace.

get a compensation lawyer if you have been forced out of a job because of a workplace bully and failings by your boss to do anything about it.
