John Grinder served as a captain in the US Army Special Forces, then later for the US Intelligence agency. Before this, in the late 1960’s, he graduated with a degree in psychology from the University of San Francisco and a PhD from the University of California in San Diego in Linguistics in the early 1970’s. He went on to co-found Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) with Dr. Richard Bandler.
John Grinder is a specialist in the area of syntax in the broader field of linguistics. He has published many works, On Deletion Phenomena in English (1972) and Guide to Transformational Grammar (1973) being two of the most exceptional works. John was later appointed as a professor of Linguistics at the University of San Francisco in Santa Cruz.
John later became involved in some therapy sessions with Richard Bandler, a psychology student at the time. It was here that he became enthralled with the ways that therapists use linguistic patterns to effect results with their patients. John Grinder and Richard Bandler later went on to co-found Neuro Linguistic Programming.
Neuro Linguistic Programming was largely based on the language patterns used effectively by the hypnotherapist Milton H. Erickson and therapists Virginia Satir and Fritz Perls and the theory of transformation grammar. Based on this John Grinder and Richard Bandler came up with the model of Neuro Linguistic Programming.
The Neuro Linguist Programming model was developed even further using books published by these same therapists and later became the foundation of NLP. Grinder has also co-written many other books on NLP and its practical applications and theory.
Many people in the world can attribute their personal and professional success to the self-confidence given to them by the techniques the learned from NLP. They found that the Neuro Linguistic Programming model helped them to obtain certain qualities required to be successful in the competitive modern world.
Your mind will work positively and achieve the best results when using the techniques created by John Grinder and Richard Bandler and their work on Neuro Linguistic Programming. Understanding NLP will help you better understand those around you. neuro linguistic programming will also help you achieve your own goals by helping you to co-ordinate your thoughts, behavior feelings and words. It won’t happen overnight, but gievn time it will work.
Once your words and actions are aligned, you will find your message is far easier to convey to your audience after learning neuro linguistic programming , and will be much closer to the message you intend to get across.
